Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will play a critical leadership role overseeing all accounting operations. This position is responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across financial reporting, while also bringing insights that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and deliver timely, accurate financial statements
• Oversee cash management, AP, general ledger, and reconciliations
• Manage audits, tax filings (990, 403(b), etc.), and regulatory reporting
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls
• Partner cross-functionally to provide meaningful financial insights
• Mentor and develop a small accounting team

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 8+ years of accounting experience (multi-unit environment preferred)
• CPA strongly preferred
• Strong GAAP knowledge, including nonprofit accounting
• Proven leadership experience and ability to manage competing priorities
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems
